Pitchfork Music Festival Lineups Announced
The Pitchfork Music Festival, to be held July 17-19 in Chicago’s Union Park, announced some of their lineups, and so far the list is looking good.
Friday, July 17 will feature Built to Spill, Chicagoans the Jesus Lizard, Yo La Tengo and Tortoise.
July 18 will included the National, Pharoahe Monch and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, while Sunday July 19 will see Grizzly Bear, the Walkmen and the Vivian Girls. Tickets go on sale March 13.
Pitchfork has grown in popularity, and the quality of bands in the past few years. 2008 saw Public Enemy, Vampire Weekend, Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver and !!!, to name a few.
No word on ticket prices yet, but last year single-day passes were $30 with two- and three-day prices at $50, and $65, respectively. Below is the video for “Mistaken for Strangers,” by The National.
